I know I am going to buy a large center stone but I just want to know what the majority of people think is the best designer/brand for engagement/wedding rings.

    None of the above!
If you really want classy wedding rings, have them designed specially for you! One-of-a-kind. Unique. Just for you and your bride. There are numerous jewelers who will make the rings. If you want the “best” jeweler in town, look for who is getting awardshttp://designtaxi.com/news.jsp?id=17116&…http://www.metalcyberspace.com/design.ht…http://www.coutureawards.com/
who is featured in the Jewelry W Magazine:http://www.wjewelryonline.com/
who is featured in books on jewelry, such as
    “500 wedding rings”http://www.amazon.com/500-Wedding-Rings-…http://www.overstock.com/Books-Movies-Mu…
    (these are fun to read)
Tastes are highly subjective and your choice should be subjective and personal. Remember, any rings you buy from a dealer like Tiffany, Cartier, etc are mostly mass produced. If you buy a set of rings from them, there are many other couples that will have the same rings. Not very unique,…but still very expensive. Good luck.

Well if money is no object, I would go with Tiffany’s. Any woman would melt to recieve her engagement/wedding ring in the Tiffany’s little blue box! And can you just imagine when people hear you got her ring from there!!! Wow!

i would log onto pricescope forums. stay and learn for two – three months, and let them help you buy a diamond.
i prefer whiteflash, ACA and expert selection stones.
i like helzberg masterpiece as well.
i also like the superbcert princess, the flanders, and asscher cut.

Not well known, but BEAUTIFUL work. Too expensive for me and my fiance, but we fell in love with their stuff!
EDIT: I see that others are recommending Tiffany’s. I’ve heard a lot about how their work isn’t as great as their name. Personally, I would be a little insulted if someone got me Tiffany’s jewelry because it shows that they are just buying the name instead of the quality.

    Tiffany’s…
That being said, I’d prefer a non-designer ring and putting the money towards a down-payment or a vacation or something a little more practical.

I agree with the last two ladies…
    TIFANNY!
If you put that on her finger… You are the man. She will brag to all of her homegirls and they will be very jealous.
